Pfizer Book Buddies celebrate with students from PS 376 in Brooklyn.

In addition to Learning Leaders’ tutorial and general volunteer programs serving elementary, middle and high schools, the following opportunities permit groups of volunteers to provide distinctive enrichment programs, offered free of charge to New York City public schools. In most cases, training can be provided in-house.  For more information, contact development@learningleaders.org.

The Young Friends of Learning Leaders and their Book Buddies finally meet.

Volunteers and their elementary or middle school pen pals read the same books and exchange letters about them. Students build their vocabulary, writing skills and social competence by discussing subject matter and reading in general with a concerned adult. At the culimnation of the program, volunteers host a Meet & Greet to celebrate with participating students. Read more about Book Buddies!
